The Hockey Department and Fitquest have teamed up to offer motivated players the highest level of on and off-ice training. The below holiday camps will consist of 1 hour of on-ice skill development with The Hockey Department and 1 hour of off-ice athletic conditioning & education with Fitquest each day. We are both "quality over quantity" focused and will keep the class size at 10 players max, so every player will maximize their training experience with us.
Directed by Chris Schwarz, the current head strength & conditioning coach of the NHL's Ottawa Senators. Chris has over 25 years of experience training and developing athletes from amateur to the highest professional levels.
Fitquest concentrates on development of a player's physical attributes, strong mental processes and fundamental nutritional/health habits. Through an individual and educative based process, they have had great successes transitioning players from minor hockey to major junior, NCAA, as well as elite professional leagues in North America and Europe.
Areas of focus in the clinic we will be training and educating athletes on:
Pre-practice and pre-game warm ups & individual readiness to perform
Specific power, strength, stability and conditioning
Maximizing and challenging their athleticism
Importance of nutrition, sleep and recovery
